GOLDEN MILE – IN FOCUS HAS ARRIVED!!
Golden Mile — In Focus, a collaboration between the Frederick Arts Council and renowned national photographer Wing Young Huie, is almost complete. Take a look for the photo's along the Golden Mile at business and buildings. Nearly 20 large scale photos are slated for display on the exteriors of buildings along the Golden Mile. The display can be seen at these Golden Mile locations: Shell Station, M&T Bank, Mountain View Diner, Rick's Fish & Pet Supply, Asian American Center of Frederick, Islamic Society of Frederick, Centro Hispano de Frederick, Mi Pueblo International Market, & others. These large photographs showcase the wonderful faces of the Golden Mile!

Gavigan’s Furniture Coming to the Golden Mile
We have a new business on the Golden Mile - Gavigan's Furniture! Gavigan's is moving into the building at 1215 W. Patrick Street (old Wolfe Furniture). The new owners have spruced up the building facade and repaved the parking lot. More information on the store opening will be provided in the future.
Golden Mile Restaurants Participating in Frederick Restaurant Week – August 24 -30!
The Red Horse Steak House, Clay Oven, and Taco Bar on the Golden Mile are all participating in Frederick's Summer Restaurant Week Each participating restaurant will offer fixed price, multi-course menus. Each course will have at least two dishes for diners to choose from. Each restaurant sets its own price and what time of day they will serve their restaurant week menu. New this year is the added option of carry-out dining at many of the participating restaurants due to capacity restrictions on dining spaces. The exciting thing about having a summer restaurant week is all the great fresh produce that will bring fresh & bright flavors and unique opportunities for chef's to do more creative things with their menu's. Taco Bar owner Raul Valdivia said the restaurant will, of course, have tacos on the restaurant week menu but also plans to have some new items, including green enchiladas and a house-made flan for dessert. There will also be vegan chorizo and al pastor taco options. The restaurant will offer three courses — appetizer, entrée, and dessert — for $17. Drinks cost extra. Looks like the Golden Mile will be seeing some yummy restaurant week selections.
NEW! Saturday, August 8 Covid-19 Testing on Golden Mile
The Frederick Health Department announced that on Saturday, August 8, there will be a Covid-19 clinic on the Golden Mile. The clinic will be at Rockledge Plaza at 1100 W. Patrick Street, Unit H (above Masters Pharmacy). The site will be open 7 days a week from 8am to 8pm.
